Volunteering
As a not-for-proit organization, Pet Guards relies heavily on volunteers to help care for our animals. We are always in need of volunteers to:
- Walk the dogs for exercise and interaction.
- Care for the animals by petting and playing with them.
- Groom dogs and cats.
- Help feed and water dogs and cats.
- Clean up after the dogs and cats.
- Clerical support, such as writing thank you notes, drafting letters, filing, purchasing supplies, running errands, completing paperwork and answering phones.
- Fundraising.
- Building maintenance: Our facilities can always use some TLC to help accommodate the animals in all weather conditions and at all levels of illness.
- Fostering animals: The amount of animals in need is staggering. When the shelter is full, we rely on foster "parents" to help us house and care for the animals.
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us at stop by our facility (Click here for directions) to complete our volunteer form.
