Volunteering

As a not-for-proit organization, Pet Guards relies heavily on volunteers to help care for our animals. We are always in need of volunteers to:

• Walk the dogs for exercise and interaction.
• Care for the animals by petting and playing with them.
• Groom dogs and cats.
• Help feed and water dogs and cats.
• Clean up after the dogs and cats.
• Clerical support, such as writing thank you notes, drafting letters, filing, purchasing supplies, running errands, completing paperwork and answering phones.
• Fundraising.
• Building maintenance: Our facilities can always use some TLC to help accommodate the animals in all weather conditions and at all levels of illness.
• Fostering animals: The amount of animals in need is staggering. When the shelter is full, we rely on foster "parents" to help us house and care for the animals.
